Obituary: Former Waseda University President Haruo Nishihara passed away
Dr. Haruo Nishihara, former president of Waseda University University, passed away on January 26, 2023 at the age of 94 due to interstitial pneumonia.

He was one of the five people who chose the Heisei era, and has guided many influential people in society throughout his life.
